Building & Prop-Related Rules

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

I. Building Rules

Do not block off entire areas with props. If your job allows you to build in public, please do not obstruct pathways, roads, world doors, or any frequently accessed areas.

You may prop block the entrance to your base if you specifically state that you are building, with a sign. However you must NEVER prop block while your base contains any entities or valuable items [Printers, Drugs, Guns, etc]. This includes any of your or your group member's items, Otherwise you must use fading doors at all time. Windows are excluded from this rule.

All entrance to your base must be clearly visible and easily accessible, which means you cannot use: crouching tunnels, areas where you have to jump, traps, mazes, invisible/semi-visible props, no collided props, disorientating lights/lamps/textures/colors/props/effects

Do not trap other players in bases.

You may build a second level inside of your base only; however, the props used for the second level may not be see through, meaning the props must be a solid color. You may not use any fading doors on this second level, including the ramp. The second level must be open and accessible at all times.

If you are a Syndicate/ Mafia Leader, you may claim open areas of space and block off this area of the map for you and your gang members; however, the props used for this base must not restrict the flow of players from one part of the map to another. Unlike other groups gangs may build across streets to establish control however it may not effect the overall flow of the map. If you need an example: Industrial is a one way street so you may claim that area by blocking off the entrance to the block.

Do not build anything that is not accessible by a natural path (no player-made catwalks on walls, etc). [2nd levels are excluded]

Do not completely block off the natural path to any area.

Do not build in other players' bases without permission.

Do not use props to hold entities out of reach of players.

Do not use or create one way props (they can't see you; you can see them). To be more clear about what this means you may not raise props to shoot under.

Do not use or create invisible props.

Do not build any obscene or inappropriate structures.

Do not build in public unless your job's rules allow it. Public bases must be built to a reasonable scale. Follow the RP theme of the game mode: hobos can't afford mansions!

You may not connect multiple properties together unless the owner of the other building(s) gives consent, and the building looks at least semi-realistic. The buildings connected must be next to each other. You may not connect buildings a street apart.

You may not build impossible-to-raid bases. Raiders must have a chance.

Raiders must have enough space to move and raise their weapons.

Your base should not force raiders into awkward positions in order to break in.

You may use entities, like cars, to climb over things with them. However, you should never spam entities for this purpose. You cannot force raiders to have to use entities to enter smoothly

You may not have more than 2 fading doors per prop entrance, meaning you may no longer have continuous prop hallways that run through several rooms to allow for multiple fading doors per setup, and only up to 5 fading doors in the base in all.

You may not no collide props to sit in them or use for cover/advantages. Unless being used for AFK boxes. However, if you are inside one of these AFK boxes at the start of a raid you MAY NOT effect the raid in any way.

The gap for kill slots must have a gap at least two 1x1 cubes stacked vertically. Meaning, if a staff member can't easily wedge two cubes stacked vertically between that gap, it is against the rules.

Hobos are allowed to build large/medium/small non role play related structures as long as it does not hurt the over all experience of other players. If someone asks the owner of the props to move the structure the owner must comply.

In Dark Rooms you must have the fading door prop materialized to something different from the other props. For example, you may use a metallic material for the fading door and than use brick for the rest. When a flash light is shown on the props it will reflect off the metallic prop.

You may build a second floor, inside your base; however, you may not make the floor of this second level a see through material and there may not be a fading door that blocks this second floor from the ground level. You may have valuables on the second floor.

As a defender you may not use props that you can shoot through but the offense can not shoot through. (This is a direct attack against those that are using the M82 weapons)
